Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve is located 10 miles west of Champaign-Urbana on I-74 at Mahomet, exit #172 or #174. For faster access to the Museum of the Grand Prairie (formerly Early American Museum) and Mabery Gelvin Botanical Garden, take exit #172. River Bend Forest Preserve is located in south Mahomet on Mid-America Road about one mile west of Route 47. From Champaign-Urbana, take I-72 west to the Route 47 exit. Sangamon River Forest Preserve is located in Fisher, in northwest Champaign County.
