| June 14-17: WILD THINGS Are your budding naturalists curious about the mysteries of the natural world? Come to camp to discover and get comfortable with some of nature’s most curious mysteries through hikes, games, and crafts! |

| June 21-24: A WOODLAND WONDERLAND As we explore the wonderful woodlands of the Champaign County Forest Preserves, we will find them to be an amazingly productive habitat! We will investigate some creatures, fungi and plants that we may normally pass on by, but that reside all around our forests. |
||
| June 28-July 1: BUILD IT Animals (including humans) live in many different kinds of homes. We will learn about and explore survival shelters, groundhog burrows, beaver dams, anthills and other kinds of animal homes. |

| July 12-15: ILLINOIS AMBASSADORS Discover why Illinois is the prairie state; learn all about the special plants, animals and trees that call Illinois their home and are symbols for our state. |

| July 19-22: WACKY SCIENCE New and different wacky science experiments await your discovery, so grab your lab coat!We’ll put our chemistry and physical science skills to the test. |
||
| July 26-29: NATURE'S SURPRISE Discover all that nature has to offer one last time this summer! We’ll visit all the best spots and trample the trails. |

| YUCKOLOGY 101 Come explore the slimy, stinky, squishy, side of nature, from worms to skunks to pond muck—Yuck! We’ll observe snail slime trails, make edible scat cookies, dissect owl pellets, and create our own slime. We'll get hands-on, so come prepared to hike, crawl and get muddy! | Garden Adventures Day Camp | ||

| Grades K-5 (Grade completed in May 2011) | $35 per child | |
| June 13: PLANT THE GARDEN Campers will dig, plant, water, weed and sow in the garden. Working together, they’ll learn how plants grow, how to transplant, and what it takes to maintain a garden. |

| June 20: MINIATURE GARDEN DAY Come ready to create a miniature garden scene using toys, dolls, animal figurines and small plants. These will become a permanent exhibit in the garden for the rest of the year. |
||
| June 27: SQUIRMY WORMIES, CREEPY CRITTERS AND CRITTER-EATING PLANTS Is your child fascinated by bugs? Children will get up close and personal with insects in the garden. They will also meet a plant that eats insects! |
||
| July 11: WEED WEEK Help find every weed in the garden and dig it out and learn how to compost garden waste to make new soil. As a reward for finding all the weeds, we will harvest and eat some blueberries (if they are ready). |
||
| July 18: WET WEEK Come ready to stay cool in the hot sun. This week we will learn about the water cycle, explore a pond and play water games. |
||
| July 25: FILL MY TUMMY WITH SOMETHING YUMMY Campers will explore the garden with their taste buds and try out some tasty snacks. They will even get to take food home from the garden. |

If you are 11 years or older, you may apply to be a Counselor-in-Training for Eco-Adventures, Garden Adventures and Grand Prairie Kids. For more information and an application form, contact Siv Schwink or call (217) 896-2455. Candidates are selected through an application and interview process.
