For twenty-three years Abraham Lincoln practiced law on the Eighth Judicial Circuit in east central Illinois. Guy Fraker will speak about his new book Looking for Lincoln in Illinois: A Guide to Lincoln’s Eighth Judicial Circuit. In this first guidebook to the eighth judicial circuit, Fraker directs readers and travelers through the same prairies, over some of the same roads and into the same towns in which Lincoln practiced law.
