NATURE AT NIGHT: CONSERVATION SUCCESS STORIES

Interpretive Center, Homer Lake Forest Preserve, 7-8:30 p.m.

Animals like the bald eagle, river otter, and white-tailed deer have benefitted from conservation efforts, both nationwide and locally. We’ll discuss how populations of some species have grown over time and the policies that have made a positive impact. Then we’ll take a moon-lit hike to our wetlands, and see a real life conservation project! This experience is one of a kind, and is great for the whole family. $3 per person. Registration required: ccfpd.org, (217) 896-2455 or cwalsh@ccfpd.org.
