PLANTING YOUR OWN MONARCH BUTTERFLY GARDEN

Museum of the Grand Prairie, Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve, 12:30-2 p.m.

The monarch butterfly is a flagship species for conservation. With a tremendous geographic range and amazing migration, monarchs draw attention from all over North America. Many other pollinators benefit from monarch conservation efforts as people work to preserve and create habitats. Children will plant seeds that can be taken home to provide a habitat for monarchs and other pollinators. All ages. $5 per person. Register by April 20 at ccfpd.org, (217) 586-2612 or planted@ccfpd.org.
