Directions

We are located just ten miles west of Champaign-Urbana in East Central Illinois, approximately 2-1/2 hours south of Chicago and two hours west of Indianapolis. The Botanical Gardens are immediately accessible off Interstate 74, and near Interstate 57 and Interstate 72. More specific instructions follow.

From Interstate 74 -- Take Exit 172 and go north. This is the exit for Illinois Route 47, Mahomet and Gibson City. If you are coming from the east, unless you are familiar with the area, do not take Exit 174. Although you will see a sign for Lake of the Woods Park at Exit 174, the most direct route is to use the next exit, which is Exit 172.
From Interstate 72 -- Take the Mahomet Exit, Illinois Route 47, and go north. It is about seven miles to the Botanical Gardens from here. Stay on Illinois Route 47 as it turns through Mahomet - watch the road signs - right at first stoplight, then left at next stoplight. The Botanical Gardens is about one-half mile north of Interstate 74, just inside the west side of Lake of the Woods.

From Interstate 57 -- Take Interstate 74 West at the edge of Champaign. Follow directions above
