POND LIFE
Come prepared to dip into a world of water. We'll explore the ponds and lakes of the forest preserves to see who lives there.

POWERFUL POLLINATORS
Have you ever stood beside a flower and noticed how many different kinds of bees, wasps, butterflies, moths, and flies were visiting? Be prepared to investigate the special world of pollination and pollinators this week at camp.

MINIATURE WORLDS OF THE CHAMPAIGN COUNTY FOREST PRESERVES
Find a new perspective on nature by investigating the tiny worlds that exist right under our noses. Take an up-close look at some often overlooked plants and animals.

ART IN NATURE
Nature provides lots of materials that can be used to create works of art: rocks, leaves, pine cones, pine needles and more. Come see what you can discover to make a unique creation of your own.
July 27-30
THE WORD ON BIRDS
Discover what birds can tell you about the gossip in the woods and white life is like from inside a feather coat!
Upon arrival, children will be divided into groups based on age and grade completed in May 2010. Children must register for the same day each week. Note your first, second and third choice of days on the registration form. Fees listed are for the entire six-week program.

Develop your green thumb as you plant and tend the children's Discovery Garden. The reward -- new vegetables that you have grown!

Campers will grow a green thumb while learning about plants and starting a flower garden.

Search for insects and other animals in the Discovery Garden and make critters from natural materials to take home.

JUNIOR GOLF LESSONS
Lake of the Woods Golf Course

Get your youngsters involved in the wonderful world of golf. Our golf professionals will provide them with all the skills they need so they can enjoy this game at any age.

JUNIOR GOLF CAMP
July 12-16 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
$100 per child
This camp is for ages 10-17 and is a more hands-on and in-depth teaching of the game of golf, its rules, and proper etiquette. Limited to first 25 participants.
