The Champaign County Forest Preserve District employs approximately 60 full-time and part-time staff as well as a number of seasonal employees. As stewards of our county’s natural and historic resources, the District is dedicated to bringing people closer to nature.
With seven forest preserves throughout Champaign County, our employees wear many hats. We have a wide range of positions—from landscape/garden/maintenance workers to day camp educators and from campground hosts to golf pro shop attendants—working at various locations throughout the county.
