11th ANNUAL BIRD MIGRATION FESTIVAL
Interpretive Center, Homer Lake Forest Preserve, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
· Mist Netting Demonstration: 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
· Storyteller: 1-2 p.m.
· Snowy Owl Presentation: 3-4 p.m.
Bring your family and friends to Homer Lake to celebrate International Migratory Bird Day and experience the sensations of spring! During the mist netting demonstration, see live birds up close. Local storyteller Kathleen Brinkmann will bring stories to life with a special performance. This year, we will have special guests from the Illinois Raptor Center doing a presentation with a live Snowy Owl! Throughout the day, learn all about the birds that live in and visit our preserves through activities, crafts, stories and more. Come and go as you please during program hours. FREE. All ages.
