Bats at the Bridge

A single Illinois bat can eat up to 3,000 insects each night! Join us to learn more about these ecologically important mammals, and what recent studies on this particular colony of bats have shown. After a short presentation indoors, we will head over to the Covered Bridge to look for the bats that roost there. Representatives from the Illinois Bat Conservation Project will be on hand with special technology to detect and identify bats by their calls. All ages. $3 per person; children 2 and under are free.
